Just got the label all printed for the first part of the gift and it should be there by the end of the week, and the second part is on it's way(but won't be there for about 2 weeks). Since I already teased the one little thing that is going to show up in one of the boxes, I'll go ahead and show you guys the finished product! I threw it on my keys really quick to make sure the hole was the right size.

I am still slacking, I know what I want to get, but my mother insists I must pay her for my insurance this second even though it is covering through june. (when most of the work I do is yard work, and there is very little yardwork to do in january in northern idaho), so that makes the monetary issue a bit of a problem, I have 50 bucks im kind of hiding from her. She insists I must get her to approve to gift, the woe of parents, hard to live with them, hard to live without.
I'll get it done somehow.

I'm glad I never had to deal with anything quite that bad. I just had my own guilt to deal with when I put other stuff before paying my parents back and all. Haha

Awesome. Well done! Please make the file available to OPPO (or just sell them to us!). I want one about 2/3rds the size and with no added key hole, prettypleaseandthankyouverymuch.

Hmmm... If I sell them I can't produce that many... But making the file available would be fine.

You could sell them through Shapeways or something, so you wouldn't have to produce them.
If you would, I'd love the file at my Gmail address: dclange

To get a keychain?

I actually just set up a shapeways account and ordered a prototype of the keychain to see if they could hold the resolution I wantm I'll post a link once I get the first one and have an idea on quality and all. Hopefully it comes out fine, but you never know.
It looks like through shapeways it'll be like $8.25 for a keychain, plus their standard $5 shipping(which is ridiculous). Think people would pay $13.25 for an Oppo keychain? Keep in mind that's with zero markup.

Yeah, I bet a decent number would, if the quality is good. Any volume discounts - like a group buy situation - that would make it cheaper for all of us and could build in a little profit for your efforts?

Meebe. I'd love to have one. Can I just buy one?

Maybe, I just made a post about it. I'm not sure how selling Oppo things works and I've never used the manufacture that I'm looking at before(I don't have the time/resources to produce these). But check that out and we'll see what people say. If the prototype comes out alright and I won't get sued then they will be for sale in the next few weeks.

Check it out over here http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/dangly-thingie…
We'll see what people say to that and I'll see if the prototype is up to snuff and get them public if so.
